Luxury in Leeds: The Ivy has arrived in our very own Victoria Quarter, all the gossip from the Preview Evening

This week I was thrilled to receive an invite for myself and a guest, to The Ivy Victoria Quarter preview evening in Leeds. Normally my husband Peter and I love a good restaurant (and maybe a glass of fizz). We don't get as many date nights as we used to with running round after the kids, so when we do we make sure to book somewhere AMAZING and really treat ourselves. The Ivy of course, fits the bill perfectly.
Mum and dad date night sorted! However, our babysitter fell through and so it was not to be. Enter my good friend and fellow mummy, Helen.

Myself (Left)) and Helen (Right) ready for fun!

I could say I missed Pete but I'm afraid I would be lying, the free flowing "Ivy Royale" quickly put paid to any mum/wife guilt I was feeling and Helen and I were soon attempting our best #mumsontheloose impression.

The dangerously moreish IVY ROYALE.
Heaven in a glass!

The Ivy Victoria Quarter hosted a pre-opening preview party of grand proportion. Attended by a host of VIP guests, including TV presenter Gabby Logan (looking every bit as gorgeous as on the telly), and members of the Emmerdale cast.

Celebrities, journalists, local business owners and residents alike headed, with us 2 mamas, to the new eatery, located in the renowned Victoria Quarter arcade, to experience a first-look at the brasserie and its beautiful interiors.

Leeds' Lord Mayor, Councillor Graham Latty attended the party.

Although we didn't get to sample the extensive menu, we did mop up the fizz with some exquisite canapes, giving us a hint that the food would not disappoint!

We were particularly impressed with the decor and atmosphere of the venue. With a style unique to The Ivy restaurants, it provided a real escapism whilst still feeling comfortable and welcoming.

All in all I would highly recommend making your reservations now (tables from Tuesday 25th September) for this classic restaurant opening it's doors in the heart of our very own city centre. I will visit  very soon for the full dining experience... I might even let Peter come this time!!

The Ivy Victoria Quarter will open its doors to the public on Tuesday, 25 September. Open seven days-a-week, from dawn until dusk, the 200-cover restaurant will offer visitors a selection of all-encompassing menus, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, light snacks and dinner, as well as a host of specially-crafted cocktails.
